School children in Cape Coast sensitized.

On Wednesday, 24th July 2019, the Public Relation’s Office of the Central Regional Police Command held a school sensitization program for basic schools within Cape Coast North Metropolis on crime prevention at Saint Lawrence Catholic Church, Abura. The participants for the occasion were pupils and teachers from Saint Lawrence Catholic Basic School, Kakumdo M/A Basic School, Abura TI Ahmadiyya Basic School, Nkanfoa Saint Paul Basic School, and Pedu M/A Basic Shool.320 pupils and 50 teachers reported for the program.

There were discussions on crime prevention, defilement, rape, incest, indecent assault, indecent exposure, sodomy/unnatural carnal knowledge, revenge pornography, cyber-crimes, human trafficking, kidnapping, abduction and others including who to report to when abused by parents and others and what should I do when being exposed to sexual activities by parents? General security measures on crime preventions were also stated and discussed with pupils as they vacate to their various homes.
