DIRECTOR-GENERAL RESEARCH & PLANNING
The Director-General, Research and Planning shall be responsible to the IGP for the following:
- Conduct research into all units of the Service and make recommendations;
- Liaise with schedule officers to draw up plans for effective and efficient performance;
- Review a realistic organizational structure of the Service;
- Develop a format for production of a comprehensive annual report for the Service;
- Develop and review effective human resource data base system for the Service;
- Carry out periodic manpower auditing for research purposes;
- Carry out periodic Police equipment/logistic auditing;
- Research into various community policing projects for comparison and adoption;
- Liaise with Police consultants and other stakeholders on contemporary policing on research issues (NGOs, and other forms of aid);
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the IGP.
