141 POLICE RECRUITS PASS OUT AT HO
On 30th July, 2019, a colourful Passing out Parade was held at the Regional Police Training School, Ho for an all-male contingent of 141 General Police Recruits. The event started at 0930Hrs as scheduled and ended at 1100Hrs. The General Police Recruits displayed various skills in both foot and weapon drills to the admiration of the Reviewing Officer, COP Mr. Ken Yeboah, parents and guests alike.

The General Police Recruits displayed various skills in both foot and weapon drills to the admiration of the Reviewing Officer, COP Mr. Ken Yeboah, parents and guests alike.
Commissioner of Police in-charge Police Administration, Mr. Ken Yeboah and Reviewing Officer in his speech admonished the fresh Constables to be agents of change and also eschew any unprofessional behaviuor that may bring the image of the service into disrepute: “Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, the image of the Service has sunk low as a result of the unprofessional conduct often exhibited by some personnel of the service. Unprofessional conducts such as extortion and brutalities are virtually reported on regular basis in both the print and electronic media which tends to adversely affect public confidence and bring the image of the service into disrepute.”
COP Mr. Ken Yeboah also used the occasion to encourage the fresh Constables to strive and uplift the image of the service by engaging in professional acts and conducts that will increase public confidence as well as foster coherent partnership with the public.

COP Mr. Ken Yeboah also thanked the government for providing needed resources in the 2018 Police Recruitment Exercise which saw the service recruiting four thousand able Ghanaians to beef up human resource base of the Service.
The Officer Commanding, RPTS, Ho C/Supt. Mr. William Yankey Acolatse in his introductory remarks expressed gratitude to the Police Administration and the General Public who contributed in diverse ways to the successful end of the course. He also highlighted the challenges facing the school such as; accommodation, infirmary for recruits, classrooms, place of worship and encroachment on the school land and appealed to the public to assist in cash and kind to make the school conducive for teaching and learning.
Other Dignitaries who graced the occasion include the Volta Regional Minister, Hon. Dr. Archibald Yao Letsa, DCOP Mr. Edward Oduro Kwarteng, Deputy Regional Commander, ACP. Mr. Peter Gyimah, Commanding Officer of 66 Artillery Regiment, Ho, Lt. Col. Bernard Baba Pantoa, Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Francis Akorli, Regional Police Commander, other sister Security Service Commanders, Traditional Rulers and the Clergy.
The Over-all Best Recruit went to General Recruit Alexander Randolph whilst General Recruits: Emmanuel Amoah Yirenkyi, Joshua Ofori-Arko Mantey, Jamal Aguri and Ruphino Mwier were adjudged Best in Conduct, Best in Drill, Best Marksman and Best in Physical Training respectively.
