Tema Chief Inspectors and Inspectors equipped with communication skills

TEMA CHIEF INSPECTORS AND INSPECTORS EQUIPPED WITH COMMUNICATION SKILLS.

One Hundred and Fifteen (115) Chief Inspectors and Inspectors on Thursday September 27, 2018 attended a day’s workshop at the Tema Development Corporation (TDC) Conference Hall.

The workshop which was organized by the Police Administration is part of the Transformation Agenda by the Inspector General of Police. The training programme had the objective of equipping Chief Inspectors and Inspectors, who manage various Police Stations with the requisite communication tools and skills to effectively manage their stations and serve their communities.

The Director General, Public Affairs Department (PAD) ACP/Mr. David Senanu Eklu, and the Executive Secretary to the Inspector General of Police, Supt/Mr. Peter Toobu who were the facilitators, took participants through Communication Skills, Work-Life Balance and Police Integrity and Transformation.

In his opening address, the Tema Regional Police Commander DCOP Nana Asomah Hinneh adviced participants to be civil to the people they serve and bear in mind that, integrity of the Police is crucial at all times.

Participants were also reminded that the success of the Police does not only depend on the number of arrests made but rather the satisfaction of the people we serve.

The workshop which was very interactive, gave participants the opportunity to contribute and share their experiences with each other.

A similar workshop was held by the Inspector General of Police for Inspectors and Chief Inspectors in the Accra region where 230 station officers participated.
