Robert Kumi Ackah 47523 G/CPL

The late No. 47523 G/Cpl. Robert Kumi Ackah was enlisted into the Ghana Police Service on 20h December, 2011 and passed out on 15th June, 2012 from Regional Police Training School, Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. He was later posted to Rapid Deployment Force/Tamale in the Northern Region on 10th September, 2012.

On 28th May, 2017, he was on a bus escort duty from Tamale/NR to Accra. On reaching a section of the road at Kintampo/BAR, they had information that the road was blocked by armed robbers who were robbing other passengers ahead. He got down from the bus and walked to the scene to assist, but was mistakenly shot and killed in a cross fire.

The Inspector – General of Police Mr. David Asante – Apeatu Posthumously promoted him to the rank of G/Cpl with effect from 27th May, 2017.
