CID fetes National Service Personnel

CID FETES NATIONAL SERVICE PERSONNEL

The Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service held a get-together and presentation of certificates for sixteen (16) National Service personnel at the Police Headquarters Cafeteria Conference Room.

The 2017/2018 National Service personnel who were posted to the various units of the CID head quarters have successfully brought their service to an end, were refreshed amidst music and dance with the personnel of CID at a colourful ceremony at the newly opened junior rank officers’  mess at the Police headquarters.

Director General Police Professional Standards Bureau, COP/Mr. Nathan Kofi Boakye graced the occasion and commended the Criminal Investigations Department for organizing such a social event which aims at bridging the gap between the Police and civilians in order to build their confidence and enhance future collaboration.

Certificates of appreciation in recognition of their hard-work were presented to the 16 service personnel by the Director-General/CID, DCOP/Mrs. MYT Addo-Danquah, who urged the National Service personnel to apply whatever they have learnt during their stay at the CID headquarters.

She also stated that, due to the exemplary life exhibited by the national service personnel at the CID headquarters, she is ready to serve as a referee for them based on their conduct exhibited during their one year stay at the CID Headquarters.

Director/INTERPOL, ACP/Mr. Frederick Agyei who came up with the idea of honoring and appreciating the efforts of the National Service personnel who served at the CID, cautioned them to be of good service where ever they find themselves after national service.

The Director/Commercial Crime Unit, Chief Superintendent/Mrs. Faustina Andoh-Kwofie on her part encouraged the service personnel to be self-disciplined and respectful as they move to the world of work.
