The Ghana Police Service has won the ultimate award in Emerging Improvement in Public Procurement and Supply Chain for the year 2018 during the first ever Ghana Procurement and Supply Chain Awards organized by Instinct Wave Limited in partnership with Public Procurement Authority and Ghana Institute of Procurement and Supply, at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on September\u00a07, 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Ghana Procurement and Supply Chain Awards is the first of its kind that celebrated outstanding achievements by rewarding companies, Teams, Stakeholders, and Individuals who have demonstrated the ability to succeed and have continually set standards of excellence in the procurement sector. \"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"<\/p>\n

The guest speaker for the awards ceremony, Honorable Minister of State in charge of Public Procurement, Ms. Adwoa Safo, stated that she believes people who work tirelessly for us to achieve value for money within our procurement environment must be commended for all their efforts.<\/p>\n

She again used the opportunity to announce that her ministry has been able to develop a new policy that will soon be launched, seeking to allocate 30% of all government procurement to the youth, women and persons with disability.<\/p>\n

Accompanying the Inspector General of Police Mr. David Asante – Apeatu to receive the award were DCOP\/Mr. Alex Amponsah Asiamah, Director-General\/Services; DCOP\/Mr. Patrick Akolgo, Director-General\/Finance; ACP\/Mr. David Eklu, Director-General\/Public Affairs and DSP\/Mr. Patrick Nuamah of the procurement unit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
