CID"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1637779513297{margin-top: 30px !important;}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>DIRECTOR-GENERAL CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION DEPARTMENT (CID)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;2\/3&#8243;][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1637755253766{margin-top: 30px !important;}&#8221;]The Director-General, CID shall be responsible to the IGP on the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>All criminal matters;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the running and maintenance of an effective and efficient Detective Training School for the training of all detectives in the country;<\/li>\n<li>Administer and coordinate activities of Regional, Divisional, District and Station CIDs;<\/li>\n<li>Supervise, monitor and control all activities of the Forensic Science Department;<\/li>\n<li>Supervise, monitor and control activities of all units under the CID:<\/li>\n<li>Create and facilitate crime intelligence units under the CID;<\/li>\n<li>Supervise, monitor and control crime research activities to establish crime trends and patterns;<\/li>\n<li>Develop strategies for crime prevention, control, investigation and detection;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the deportation and extradition of persons in accordance with law;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the compilation of Criminal Statistics, Police Gazette and the Annual crime report;<\/li>\n<li>Collect, collate and coordinate information and intelligence on crimes and criminals;
